Third T20 international between Australia and England was canceled, as it happened.
The three-match Twenty20 International series between Australia and England has officially leveled at one match apiece after the third Twenty20 International in Manchester was canceled due to rain. It's a damp squib, I'm afraid.
The groups' attention will now be on the forthcoming five-match ODI series, which kicks off on September 19.
As this is Rohan Sharma signing off on behalf of Kevin Hand, hopefully we will have more action to blog about next time.

"I really like how we play cricket."
Phil Salt, the captain of England, also offers his thoughts: "Yeah, I'm really proud of it [the series performance]." When a team loses their opening game, they are under constant pressure. Extremely happy with our response. We were unhappy not to be able to play today.
"We can step in once we're in control. I truly enjoy the way we play cricket. Our goal is to prevail in bilateral series. Our group's standing improves the more time we spend together during the major competitions (T20 World Cups).
It would have been pleasant to complete the decision-making process today.
Mitchell Marsh, the captain of Australia, says the following about the T20i series: "It would have been nice to finish with the decider today." Anticipating the [imminent] ODI series.
The Player of the Series is Livingstone.
Liam Livingstone wins Player of the Series after dominating the bat (124 runs) and ball (five wickets) charts for the series. "Had a little more involvement with this series." With a few boys away, [I've been] getting opportunities with the bat and the ball. I'm back to taking pleasure in my cricket.
"I wish to participate as much as possible. Not been able to reduce the order in the past. I've always loved controlling the game and batting higher in the order. With this award, I want to have demonstrated that I am better off higher up the order.

Regarding captaincy, I've relished it. It's not the same. I've taken on a bit extra work, but I've relished the challenge.

We formed as a T20 group in Scotland. The young guys have to step it up. We assigned them parts in each of their five games. It's been quite satisfying to watch them grow. A couple of our guys are returning at some point. It never ceases to amaze me to watch young men represent Australia.

Match discarded
Sadly, the latest pitch inspection has led to the formal abandonment of the third and final Twenty20 International match.
Because of this, the five-match ODI series has been tied at 1-1 in the T20I series.
