Fast bowler Haris Rauf was kept in Pakistan's 15-man Twenty20 World Cup squad, even though there were questions about his fitness and his lack of game experience. The team made this announcement on Friday.
The 30-year-old had a shoulder injury during the Pakistan Super League in February, and on Saturday in Birmingham, he is anticipated to participate in his first Twenty20 international since recovering.

Rauf is well and eager to travel, according to the selection committee of the Pakistan Cricket Board.

According to a PCB announcement, "Rauf is fully fit and bowling well in the nets." "It would have been nice if he had gotten an outing in the first match at Headingley but we remain confident that he will continue to maintain an upward trajectory in the coming matches."

Rain forced the cancellation of Pakistan vs. England at Headingley.

Pakistan, who has been trying to find a winning mix since their 2-2 series draw at home against New Zealand last month, is the 20th and final side to reveal their roster.

This will be Babar Azam's third World Cup as captain of the T20 team.

The United States and the West Indies will jointly host the competition, which takes place from June 1 to June 29.

The top two teams advance to the Super Eight Stage, where all games will be held in the West Indies. Teams are split into four groups of five.

India, Pakistan's bitterest adversary, is in Group A with Canada and Ireland.

On June 6, Pakistan and the United States will play their first game in Dallas.

Hasan Ali, the fast bowler, and Agha Salman and Muhammad Irfan Khan, the hitters, were dropped from the team.

The only member of Pakistan's 2009 Twenty20 World Cup winning team, fast bowler Mohammad Amir, is making a comeback two months after retiring.

Squad: Iftikhar Ahmed, Imad Wasim, Shadab Khan, Mohammad Amir, Shaheen Shah Afridi, Naseem Shah, Abbas Afridi, Haris Rauf, Abrar Ahmed, Mohammad Rizwan, Saim Ayub, Fakhar Zaman, Usman Khan, Azam Khan, Mohammad Amir.

He is a member of the formidable pace assault led by Rauf, Naseem Shah, Abbas, and Shaheen Shah Afridi.

Pakistan was defeated in both the United Arab Emirates semifinal and the Australia final of the Twenty20 World Cup in 2022.
