IPL 2024: Videos, Key Moments, and Match Highlights Between RCB and CSK

With a convincing victory in Bengaluru, Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) eliminated Chennai Super Kings (CSK), the reigning champions, from the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2024 playoff competition.
In addition, the result was RCB's sixth straight victory as they amazingly earned their own final playoff berth.
Highlights of RCB vs. CSK: The Aggressor, Virat Kohli Within RCB's Hot Start
With Virat Kohli during their opening 78-run partnership, RCB captain Faf du Plessis was a silent partner. When the South African batsman had needed 29 deliveries to reach only 30 runs, Kohli outran CSK's potent bowling attack with a 28-ball 47.
This IPL 2024 season, the renowned RCB opener blasted three boundaries and four sixes to rocket past 700 runs. At the midway point of the innings, Mitchell Santner's bowling was eventually dismissed from Kohli's party thanks to a brilliant long-on catch by Daryl Mitchell.

Captain Faf du Plessis picked up the pace when Virat Kohli was removed from the game, scoring his fourth half-century in the process. The Proteas player was down 113-2 after scoring 54 runs from 39 balls overall, thanks to a brilliant runout from Mitchell Santner at the non-striker's end.
In addition to hitting four sixes in his 23-ball 41-run performance, Rajat Patidar, batting at number three, shared 71 runs off just 35 balls with Cameron Green to help RCB get close to 200 runs.

Highlights of RCB vs. CSK: A plethora of cameos as Green, Karthik, and Maxwell set RCB's 218

Cameron Green arrived at the bat at the beginning of the fourteenth over, yet he still managed to hammer home 38 undefeated runs off of just 17 balls. Similar cameos were also made by Dinesh Karthik and Glenn Maxwell at the end, but Tushar Deshpande and Shardul Thakur, respectively, dismissed them.
With the help of three boundaries and three maximums, Green's aggressive slog-overs enthralled RCB to a booming 218-5 at the end of their innings.

Highlights of RCB vs. CSK: Rachin Steals the Ship for CSK Before RCB Regains Control

RCB’s spin trump card Glenn Maxwell got the better of CSK skipper Ruturaj Gaikwad with a half-tracker off the first ball of the run-chase. Daryl Mitchell soon followed suite as he was holed out by Virat Kohli off Yash Dayal at 19-2 in 2.2 overs.

Chasing 219 runs to win and 201 to qualify for the IPL 2024 playoffs, CSK opener Rachin Ravindra led his team’s faltering response with an outbreak of boundaries and sixes. The New Zealander shared a 66-run stand with Ajinkya Rahane (33 off 22) and another 30 runs with a struggling Shivam Dube (7 of 15) to take CSK past the 100-run mark.

However, Ravindra’s unfortunate mix-up led to sudden departures of Dube and Mitchell Santner as CSK slipped to 129-6 in 15 overs.

Highlights of RCB vs. CSK: RCB Hold Off Dhoni, Ravindra in Exciting Win

Forming forces at 129-6 with five overs to go, Ravindra Jadeja and captain MS Dhoni kept CSK’s qualification hopes alive until the latter was holed out by Swapnil Singh in the final over of the match.

Jadeja's potential onslaught was also contained by Yash Dayal as RCB won by a margin of 28 runs and by nine runs to guarantee a postseason berth.
