Matheesa Pathirana's sly response to Rayudu's subtle jab at RCB following the IPL conclusion

Matheesa Pathirana, a bowler for CSK from Sri Lanka, responded cheekily to Ambati Rayudu's past battering joke about RCB on social media. After losing to RR in the IPL Eliminator, RCB was eliminated from the IPL in 2024..

Ambati Rayudu, a former batter for India, posted a video of CSK celebrating their fifth IPL win on Instagram, perhaps taking a jab at RCB. It's been assumed that Rayudu's most recent tweet is a reaction to the raucous celebrations shown by RCB following their victory against CSK to guarantee a postseason spot in the IPL 2024. Both Sri Lankan sensation Matheesha Pathirana and Indian bowler Deepak Chahar, who were teammates with CSK in their most recent championship victory, joined Rayudu in his playful tirade with amusing remarks on his viral video.

The former batter for CSK also criticized RCB, saying that wild celebrations do not win championships, following their defeat by RR in the Eliminator on Wednesday. "Discussing RCB today demonstrates that titles are not won by fervor and raucous celebrations alone. You must make plans. Just making it to the playoffs did not earn you an IPL trophy. You must play with an equal sense of hunger. You cannot win the IPL trophy by defeating CSK alone. You'll have to return the following year," Rayudu stated on Star Sports.

Rayudu brought attention to the team's problems by saying that RCB doesn't have confidence in its Indian players. He said that no one else had consistently stepped up for the team and gave the example of Virat Kohli.
