Towhid Hridoy, a batter for Bangladesh, stated that his team's goal was to advance "at least for the semifinal" of the 2018 T20 World Cup, which will take place in the USA and the Caribbean on June 2.
Hridoy gave his opinions on Bangladesh's prospects of winning the major event in a video that was shot prior to the Tigers' departure for the USA, and the Bangladesh Cricket Board's official Facebook page released it on Sunday.
To be really honest with you, all I want to see is my name. I want my team to succeed. It's a cooperative game. Of course, I'll give it my all for my team. In the video, Hridoy stated, "I want my squad to compete in the semifinals at the very least.
Against Zimbabwe and the USA in their last two series, Hridoy performed better than most of his colleagues. In the five games played at home versus the Chevrons, he scored 140 runs, including a half-century, at a strike-rate of 147.36. He also became the leading scorer on the road in the USA with 83 runs, having already scored fifty more.
